Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Modi congratulated Mamata’s party Trinamool Congress on its victory in the Assembly elections in a tweet on Sunday evening. Modi’s main rival in the election is Modi’s party BJP.
“Congratulations to Mamata Didi on the victory of her party Trinamool Congress in West Bengal,” Modi tweeted. The Center will extend all possible cooperation to the West Bengal government to meet the expectations of the people and come out of the Covid-19 epidemic.
In a separate tweet, Modi also thanked his party leaders and workers in West Bengal. He said the BJP’s presence in the state was negligible earlier. There has been a significant increase this time.
Narendra Modi’s official Twitter account also congratulated Kerala CPI (M) leader Pinarayi Vijayan and Tamil Nadu’s MK Stalin. In these two states, the team of these two leaders is on the way to victory.
Meanwhile, after the announcement of the election results, the Chief Ministers of different states and leaders of political parties started congratulating Mamata Banerjee. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi also congratulated Mamata.
