The capital of India, Delhi, which has been hit by the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic, has sought the help of the country’s army. This has been reported by the British media BBC.

The hospitals in the capital city are in dire straits. Each of the ICU beds has patients on the one hand and severe oxygen deficiency on the other. In such a situation, the state government of Delhi has sought the help of the army in the treatment of Covid-19 patients.

Corona infections have crossed two crore across India. More than three lakh people have been infected daily for about two weeks. So far more than two lakh 20 thousand people have died.

But experts say the actual number of deaths and infections in Corona is even higher in India. Sample testing is much less. And many patients die before they see a doctor.

Last Sunday alone, more than 400 people died in Corona in Delhi.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said the people of Delhi would have been saved if the defense ministry had come forward in co-operation with all arrangements.

The state government of Delhi has appealed to the army for one thousand ICUs and oxygen treatment for 10,000 patients.

Emergency assistance was also called for in the transport of oxygen.

India’s central government has already ordered the transfer of oxygen to hospitals from army reserves. The center called on the military medical department to actively cooperate.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been talking about the oxygen crisis from the beginning. But the negligence of the central government is being widely discussed in the Indian media.
