According to the Times of India, corona symptoms were noticed in the bodies of 8 lions for several days. The park authorities also tested the lions’ corona. That test report found a corona infection. This is considered to be the first time in India.

The park’s veterinarian Kukreti said the RT-PCR test of the lions found corona germs in their bodies. Nothing can be said in detail about this right now. But they are good. They have been kept in separate rooms for observation.

He said that the infection could have spread from the people who came to the park or from the body of a worker in charge of caring for the animals in the park. Earlier last year, a total of eight tigers and lions were found with the virus at the Bronx Zoo in New York.
