Another Trinamool candidate has died in Corona, West Bengal, India. This time, Kajal Sinha, a Trinamool candidate from Kharadha assembly constituency in North 24 Pargana district of West Bengal, died in the hands of Corona.

He died at Beleghata ID Hospital in Kolkata on Sunday morning.

It is learned that he was attacked by Corona on the morning before the sixth round of voting in Kharadha. He was then admitted to Beleghata ID Hospital. He died this morning after a four-day battle with Corona. This is the first time that the Trinamool Congress has fielded a candidate from Kharadaha Assembly on behalf of the Trinamool Congress.

State Chief Minister and Trinamool Supremo Mamata Banerjee has expressed grief over the death of Kajal Sinha. Mamata lamented in a tweet, ‘Very, very sad incident. I’m stunned. Our candidate Kajal Sinha passed away in Kharoda. He devoted his life to the service of the people. He has constantly preached to the people on behalf of the party. We will miss him. My condolences to his family.

According to Kajal Sinha’s family sources, Kajal Sinha had been ill for several days. After his corona test last Wednesday, it was revealed that he had contracted corona. He was later admitted to Beleghata ID Hospital. He died there this morning.
